Painswick Tennis Club
has courts in two sites: Recreation Ground and Broadham. The
following maps show how to find the two sites. Maps 1 and 2 show the location of Painswick in Gloucestershire -

The Broadham site is very easy to find: simply head south out of
Painswick in the direction of Stroud and you will find the
Broadham site on the right about half a mile outside of the
village. The site is shared with Painswick Rugby Club.
The Recreation Ground is a little more tucked away and we have
therefore provided Map 4. The Recreation Ground is a grassy park
which is not accessed directly by road. The formal entrance is
from the main road through the village, Cheltenham Road. If you
are coming from the Cheltenham direction, park on the left just
before the traffic lights. Walk towards the traffic lights and you
will find a gateway on your left leading to a grass pathway. Go
down the pathway and then bear right to find the tennis courts
behind a large hedge.
An alternative is to park on Lower Washwell Lane and there are
small gateways onto the Recreation Ground. Walk straight across
the park to find the tennis courts. Another alternative is to park
on Bisley Street. Just to the left of Hamptons Estate Agents is a
small footpath, which takes you through some houses and past the
bowling green to the tennis courts.
