Court
Availability
There are four courts at Broadham
and two courts at the Recreation Ground. All courts are hard courts and
the courts at Broadham have floodlights.
The table below sets out the allocation of the court time. A list of all
home team matches are displayed on the notice boards in both pavilions -
see also Fixtures.
Note that juniors under 16 are not allowed into the Clubhouses without
an adult of over 18.
Visitors
Visitors (senior and junior) may play as guests of members for a maximum
of 3 times in a season (£2 per session for seniors and £1 for
juniors). Thereafter they must apply for membership of the Club if they
wish to continue using Club facilities.
Court Lighting
Court lighting is provided for club sessions, events and matches.
Arrangements for members to play under floodlights can be made with
committee members.
Club Sessions
Club sessions are intended for
members to turn up and play against other members. Mens, ladies and
mixed doubles are played over 7 games. Partners and opponents are
switched and another round of matches is played. A committee member is
on hand to help with organisation and the aim is to give each player the
opportunity to play as many other players as possible.
Typically there are between 12 and 20 members at a club session.
